9 GIFs To Get You Through Writer's Block
Elizabyth Harrington

Every week, I am faced with the task of creating an article unique and fascinating. Every week I wrack my brain hoping to come up with something that will entertain those around me. Sometimes I succeed while other weeks I fail. This week sitting at my keyboard, nothing seemed to come to me. There wasn't a whole lot that I could think of that would be worthy enough to write about. So, as a dedication to the struggle that a lot of writers, including myself, are subjected to, here are some GIFs that are way too relatable.

1. You start out with so much optimism....until you sit down. The page stares back at you with such menace and all you can do is stare blankly right back.

2. After getting over the shock of the task in front of you, you begin to hopelessly search for a topic.

3. As you sort through every possible topic with no spark, you try to keep yourself in check by encouraging your brain.

4. But after a certain point, you start to feel the panic setting in of getting your piece done on time.

5. Your brain starts to really hurt as you fall further and further into the empty pit of writer's block.

6. You know that complaining and feeling sorry for yourself only makes it worse, but you feel personally responsible for getting it done. Plus, you want to prove to everyone how great of a writer you really are.

7. So, you decide to suck it up and you start typing fervently about the first topic that you read about on a news page.

8. You finally finish and you start to read all the work that you just completed....but you realize that it is not what you wanted at all.

9. Then you question if anyone is really going to read it anyway.

If they do are they really going to care that it isn't your best work? Is it really worth struggling more to make it better? Is it possible to make it better with how much you've struggled so far?

So, you submit the work and hope for the best. But hey, at least you're out of the writer's block!

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
