Whether you spend spring break in some extravagant location soaking up the sun or binge-watching Netflix from your couch, there are a few things we all can relate to as a college kid enjoying a week off:

1. Sleep, sleep, and more sleep.

No matter where you go for spring break, it is guaranteed that you will spend a majority catching up on sleep you lost during the first half of the semester.

2. Being in a terrific mood on the first day of break.

You have an entire week of nothing but relaxation ahead of you, and that is a great feeling.

3. Food tastes better than usual.

Come spring break, you are either starving or simply sick of school food, so any food on break tastes heavenly.

4. Somewhat missing school during break.

OK, the 12-page papers definitely aren't missed, but school is kind of like your home and you miss your friends.

5. Getting mildly sad mid-week.

The week will fly by and you will start getting sad by Wednesday, but you will still be feeling good since you still have a few days off.

6. Questioning at least once on break if you should get ahead on some homework.

You know it would probably be a good idea... but this is a break, right?

7. Being astonished at how fast break flies by.

You definitely know that every break you have been on has gone by in a blink of an eye, but it is still amazing how fast it goes every time.

8. Feeling very sad come your last day of break.

Whether you have to spend the last day flying back to school or just moping around the house, no one is prepared to return back to the loads of homework they probably avoided doing over break.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
