This past summer, one of the most iconic remakes ever hit theaters. A twist on the beloved classic, "Ghostbusters" (1984), the reboot has caused a new generation to fall head over heels all over again for this popular franchise. Remakes are always risky; there's a chance to increase the popularity of the franchise immensely with a great one or bring shame to it with a poorly done one. For this spin on the famous story, it consists of four brilliant women, who certainly aren't afraid of no ghost.

Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon)

Who else could play the quirky Jillian Holtzmann other than the SNL star Kate McKinnon? She was extremely brilliant, yet slightly bonkers. She was so undeniably herself, it was impossible not to love her. At the end of the movie, she admits that she never had a real family until she met Abby, Erin, and Patty.

Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy)

Abby Yates, played by Melissa McCarthy, began her studies of the paranormal in her junior year of high school when she became best friends with Erin Gilbert, played by Kristen Wiig. When she and Erin had a falling out, she continued her studies with Holtzmann. Later on, she reconnects with Erin as they see their first ghost together, something they had dreamed of seeing for over ten years. Dr. Yates is sarcastic and quick-witted, but she is a genius and is extremely passionate about what she loves.

Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones)

This movie would not have been complete without Patty Tolan, a simple employee working in the subway who was one of the first victims of the ghost attacks. Instead of just letting it go, she decided to suit up and join the team and help save New York City. She's the toughest one out of the four and doesn't take crap from anyone. Also, anytime Leslie Jones is in something, she's going to make it a hit.

Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig)

Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig) saw a ghost when she was younger every night for a year and the only person who believed her was Abby. They began to study paranormal activity at a young age, but eventually, Erin left to pursue a more serious career. But she couldn't stay away from what she loved, and a few years later, she reunites with Abby when they see their first real ghost. As the hero of the story, she is smart, slightly awkward and very dedicated to her team.

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
