Ah, spring break. A reprieve from school, responsibilities, and the daily grind of life. If you're lucky enough, your spring break plans might include a trip to the beach. Nothing is better than feeling the sun on your face, wind in your hair, and toes in the sand. But let's be honest; when it comes to obtaining that killer beach bod, the struggle is real.
Getting in shape for spring break involves motivation, optimism, and a whole lot of willpower. The pressure is even greater on those who live close to the beach year-round, and even more so on those who live, let's say, in the ocean itself. Nobody can describe the struggle of achieving a beach body like Spongebob Squarepants can; he does lives in Bikini Bottom, after all.
What your eating habits look like beforehand:
When you realize that you are NOT beach body ready:
When you frantically start exercising because you know SB2K16 is in less than two weeks:
What you want to look like:
What you actually look like:
When you join a cardio dance class to burn those pesky calories:
When its glute day at the gym and you're working hard to get that booty lookin' fine:
When you go to pay for all the healthy organic groceries that you need for your new diet:
When you try yoga poses from Pinterest but you have no idea what you're doing:
When you go to the gym to lift weights but can't lift more than 20 pounds:
When you show your friends the progress you've (barely) made:
When you start missing french fries and wondering if it's all worth it:
When you finally cave and binge-eat junk food:
When you give up trying to get a beach bod because you know you're hot no matter what:
So there you have it, folks. Obtaining a beach body can be extremely difficult, but fun if you're up to the challenge. That being said, there really is no such thing as a "beach body." God made all of us exactly the way we were intended to be, and that means that ALL of us have beach bodies!
