Getting Stood Up By The Devil

How I got rejected by the Devil

Let’s get this out of the way. I know in many religions contacting the devil entitles a person to hell. That rule doesn’t apply to me because I was going to go to hell before this event anyways.

It was two nights before Halloween, and I had nothing to do. Nothing to do in October? Why not sacrifice me to the Devil?

I lived in a house that two old white people died in. I already had the setting for it. I constantly felt watched by the old lady that used to live in our house.

My family was extremely religious so I couldn’t sacrifice myself until everyone fell asleep. My friends and decided to sit in my room and research everything we needed to know. I found out a lot about the other side.

Ghost usually come out around three to four in the morning, perfect time.

We needed a lot of candles. I learned that a circle with a star in the middle of it was the devil’s favorite art. There’s more than one devil, and the devils have hierarchies.

Here’s a couple of my favorite.

First Hierarchy:

Astaroth, Prince of the Thrones, is always desirous to sit idle and be ease. He tempts men with idleness and sloth.

Verrine is also one of the Thrones, and next in place unto Astaroth, and he tempts men with impatience.

Gressil is the third in the order of Thrones, and he tempts men with impurity and uncleanness.

Sonneillon is the fourth in the order of Thrones, and he tempts men with hatred against their enemies.

Second Hierarchy:

Carreau, Prince of Powers, tempts men with the hardness of heart.

Carnivean is also a Prince of powers and does tempt men to obscenity and shamelessness.

Rosier is the second in the order of Dominions, and by his sweet and sugared words, he tempts men to fall in love.

Third Hierarchy:

Beli, Prince of the order of Virtues, tempts men with arrogance.

Olivier, Prince of the Archangels, tempts men with cruelty and mercilessness toward the poor.

I decided to summon Rosier, because let’s face it, no one was falling in love with me unless I had a little help from the devil. Your typical desperate girl story.

I was just a girl selling her soul for love. I never got through to the devil that night, but I think he knew I was calling because I still haven’t found love.

I still try to text him from time to time, but he never responds.

IF anyone wants my soul for love, it’s here for you, since I’m not good enough for Rosier.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
