How do you get past hard?
Everyone has hard obstacles in their life that they feel like they can't and will not be able to overcome. However what if getting past hard is all mental.
Being a college athlete there are so many obstacles and challenges that we are put through. Every day our bodies and mind's are put to a test and it is up to us whether we will be able to come out successful and persevere or fall before the end. Are you able to modify the way you look at the situation? Stop asking the same question "why?" and start thinking about the positives and how you will grow and improve.
Maybe hearing it is not enough. Try getting a cork board or dry erase board and writing and pinning your visions and goals down so you can see them every day when you wake up. Post you favorite quotes so that you have that in your head all throughout the day, and when practice comes around or weights or conditioning you are mentally prepared and ready to take on the challenge.
"I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion." -Muhammad Ali
One of the greatest athletes of all times admitted, at times we suffer but if we are champions we can push, though.
