It's finally that time of year again. As the days pass anyone who is obsessed with Christmas knows that the excitement grows more and more every day. And how could it not? There are so many awesome things to do this month from shopping, to singing Christmas songs, and watching movies. There are several stages that all Christmas addicts go through when getting into the Christmas spirit.
You realize that it’s finally December and it’s time to get into the holiday spirit.
Presents, decorating, Christmas songs, food, it’s truly the best time of the year and the excitement is real.
You start decorating your house the first chance you get.
It’s finally socially acceptable to put up your Christmas tree and all of those lights that you dreaded taking down last year.
You sing non-stop Christmas songs.
This is the only time of year you get to hear “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” and you don’t care how many people you annoy.
You realize you’re broke and the dread of having to figure out how to buy everyone presents settles in.
All the ideas for amazing Christmas presents you had are suddenly down the drain when you realize you don’t have any money.
You scrape together what little bit of money you have and then realize you’re terrible at wrapping gifts.
Now you’re completely broke but it’s okay. Mom and Grandma will have really nice gifts. You’ll have a decent amount of money again by at least June.
You have endless Christmas movie marathons.
“How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, “Merry Christmas Charlie Brown”, “Home Alone”, the list goes on. And you plan on watching every single one of them.
You want everyone to be as happy as you are so you go around spreading Christmas cheer.
How could anyone not be in the Christmas spirit? You have to do everything you can to fix that.
You wait for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.
Yes you’re an adult and yes you will spend your night waiting for Santa Claus.
You wake up at the crack of dawn bursting with excitement to open presents.
The day you’ve been waiting for all year has finally come! You can’t possibly tear into your gifts fast enough.
You’re filled with an unending sadness when it’s over.
Christmas always goes by way too fast. The thought of waiting another 364 days until next Christmas is agony.
