It's a given that as you get older, the magic of Christmas will begin to fade. It's not even like you hate Christmas (like a certain someone we know); you just aren't really feeling it this year. Adulting as a millennial is hard.

Growing up is challenging as we navigate the trials and tribulations of adulthood: paying bills and/or rent, worrying about money, maybe even depression, managing relationships with people; and the list goes on and on. All of this can carry over into how you feel about Christmas as an adult. It doesn't mean you have to lose the Christmas spirit forever, though! Read on to learn about some really simple ways you can fake it 'till you make it.

1. Drink some holiday drinks.

Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, and even your local grocery stores will have you covered on this. Whether you feel like eggnog, a gingerbread latte, mint chocolate chip ice cream, or even hot chocolate with the marshmallows, drinking a holiday-themed drink is a simple, yet cute way to get your holiday spirit kicking.

2. Buy gifts.

Not all the gifts you buy for your loved ones have to be extremely expensive. Remember that at the end of the day, price doesn't matter because it's the thought that counts. Of course, if by chance they don't like their gift, be sure to print a gift receipt just in case.

3. Look at some holiday lights.

Grab a friend, your partner if you have one, your family, or even your pets and venture to any neighborhood in your area at night. Chances are you'll happen upon a neighborhood that will have THOUSANDS of pretty lights and figures across all the houses. You can even guess which houses would be perfect contenders for "The Great Christmas Light Fight", or how much their electric bill is for the month.

4. Have a Hallmark movie marathon.

Seriously, this one is foolproof. Hallmark movies are my new guilty pleasure because of how wholesome and cutesy they are, and the Christmas movies are jam-packed with joy and spirit. You'll feel all sticky-sweet inside and wish you had someone to kiss under the mistletoe, AND you'll be in the mood to have your own Christmas adventures!

Sometimes, it's perfectly OK to not feel the Christmas spirit when you're an adult. Life happens. It can throw some hurdles at you that can knock you down. But we must remember that we have to get back up eventually, and this applies to the holiday spirit!

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
