Listen, some days I'm not her biggest fan either, but... I don't understand why there's always so much slander against her.

It seemed she became #problematic around the time "Red" was released in 2012. Then "Shake It Off" came out and her dancing was all wrong and she appropriated ballerinas and ohmigod Jenny, she sucks!!

I don't know. Taylor came into my life when I was 12 years old and she hasn't left. Sure, I stan her and yes, I don't agree with all the decisions she makes, but how can you agree with everything a celebrity does when you ... don't really know their entire life?

It's so strange how fans and #RealPeople place so much pressure on celebrities nowadays. If they're not commenting on current events, they aren't woke. If they aren't marching down the street with a sign protesting the president, they must have voted for him right? ...But isn't that the same with some of you?

Sure, "Look What You Made Me Do" isn't my favorite Taylor song (let's talk more about "All Too Well" and the 10-minute long version that exists), and yeah I'm excited as hell to hear the rest of the album (we Certified Swifties™ know that this isn't exactly the sound she has in mind). Maybe it's petty bringing up old drama, but I think it's dope she's reclaiming her snake nickname (that's sooo "Blank Space" of her). She's a singer-songwriter, she's supposed to sing and write about her real life...what should she sing about? Cats??

And truthfully, the new single is just...funny. Everyone stating problematic things about her off of a 3 minute song brings her more publicity - why else is the song #1 in the US? The fact that people who state they don't care about her that are tweeting about her is so funny. I love fake news! (Don't worry, I've been sending funny and offensive tweets about her to all my friends too.)

Since I wrote this, her video was released, and if you ask me, I died. That was truthfully the funniest thing I've ever seen. Especially the last 30 seconds with 15 different Taylors all acting catty and calling each other out. After watching the video numerous times and cross-referencing Tumblr posts, I found all the tiny details she put into the video. The girl is hella smart, you can't deny that. From the clamoring Taylors trying to get to the top to the name of the company called "Stream Co." referencing her letter to Apple Music, the girl nailed down everything. Iconic.

Another aspect about this is that people are mad about her marketing, but her team trying this special Verified Fan Tickets from Ticketmaster is genius. I get it, it's dumb to make fans pay money so they get priority tickets...but don't fans typically preorder albums and buy merchandise when it comes out? Everyone's favorite band does this. How is what she's doing any different?

I understand the drama and I understand why people are mad. But, can't you focus on something other than a 3-minute song that people are mostly over by now? And as my friend said,

It's Taylor Swift. She's changing herself. Get over it.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
