Hey y'all!

My name is Mallory Daniel and I am one of the newest writers for The Odyssey here at Georgia Southern. I've always enjoyed sharing my thoughts with everyone around me and am looking forward to doing that through my writing here on The Odyssey. But before I do that, I thought I'd let everyone on here get to know me a little bit first. So here we go,

1. I was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia

2. I'm currently studying Political Science and Public Relations here at Georgia Southern.

3. I'm a member of the Kappa Mu chapter of Phi Mu.

4. I competed in the Miss America Organization for over 5 years and hope to continue to compete later in college.

5. I have two brothers, Matthew (23) and Patrick (15). My brothers are simultaneously my biggest blessings as well as my biggest pains in the neck.

6. I was a cheerleader in high school, but for some reason thought it'd be a good idea to run cross country my junior and senior year... it wasn't.

7. I hope to attend law school in the future and practice constitutional law. (Watch out, Elle Woods.)

8. I'm the worst driver you will ever meet and have actually been pulled over for driving on the wrong side of the road.

9. I'm lucky enough to have some pretty great friends who always manage to keep my life interesting

10. I have a Boykin Spaniel named Watson who is in fact the greatest dog in the world and there's no convincing me otherwise.

11. I'm the third person in my family to attend Georgia Southern.

12. I used to hate scary movies until I forced myself to watch a ton of them, and now I love them.

13. I really really, really, really love Stevie Wonder.

14. If Gone With the Wind is on, I will sit through all four hours of it every single time.

15. "Bennie and the Jets" is and always will be my favorite song.

I look forward to writing for The Odyssey and for y'all to continue to get to see a little bit more of who I am as a person through my writing!
