Mid-terms, paying rent, dwindling meal points, fading motivation to do homework, or the upcoming presidential election weighing you down? Have no fear, the best motivational playlist is here! From new hits to old school classics, here are 10 tracks that will invigorate your body and mind, or at the very least let you know you are not alone in the money/school/work/family/life struggle.

1. "Rise," by Katy Perry

As NBC’s theme song for the 2016 Summer Olympics, this song and video were fantastic. But isn’t getting through 4 years of college on par with the Olympics? Blare this song whenever life starts weighing you down, andyou will find the strength to be an academic champion. Try playing it at the gym as well.

2. "Never Say Never," by Justin Bieber ft. Jaden Smith

The song for applying to internship and jobs that want way more experience than you actually have. Looking at an “entry-level” job that requires years of experience you don’t have? Let the Biebs cheer you up as you tweak that resume and stretch the truth in your cover letter.

3. "Cheap Thrills," by Sia ft. Sean Paul

If your lack of money has you down, remember that you don’t need money to have fun (for the most part). If all Sia needs to have fun is high heels and painted nails, you can certainly find a cheap way to celebrate the weekend. After all, after a rough school week, you deserve it.

4. "Can’t Hold Us,"by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis ft. Ray Dalton

When you are reaching for the stars, it’s great to be reminded that the ceiling can’t hold you down. All of Macklemore’s songs are great, but this one in particular will give inspire you to keep pushing through whatever challenges you are facing.

5. "Work," Rihanna ft. Drake

Until retirement, working is what we will all do. As you work through homework, relationship problems, familial arguments, or just plain old work, this tune will help you persevere.

6. "Hall of Fame," by The Script ft. will.i.am

Whether you are literally trying to be in a hall of fame or not, this one will inspire you to believe that your dreams will come true. Of course hard work doesn’t automatically equal success, but this will remind you that you won’t have any chance at success unless you first put in the effort.

7. "Independent Women, Pt. 1," by Destiny’s Child

Whether you are single or in a relationship, it’s always worth pausing and appreciating how hard you work to be a strong, independent woman. Paying bills, going to school, and working part/full time are difficult to do, and Destiny’s Child will reassure you that it is all worth it.

8. "Remember the Name," by Fort Minor

During my time on the speech and debate team, I would listen to this song on repeat while preparing for tournaments. Trust me, it will get you pumped. Put on this jam and power through that boring, 10 page paper. Remember that it’s 50% pain.

9. "Stronger," by Kanye West

This is another great one to blast through your headphones at the gym. When it feels like all of the stress and frustration is going to take you down, let Kanye remind you that you can get through anything and come out even stronger.

10. "Don’t Give Up (You Are Loved)," by Josh Groban

This last one is completely unlike all other songs on this list except in its ability to inspire you to keep pushing through. If you are in the mood for a calmer, more contemplative tune, check out this song. This is a great one for staring out a window on a rainy day while reflecting on the meaning of life.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

The Unwritten Rules Of "Talking"

What is "talking?" How does one "talk?"

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
