Walker Stalker Con

Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful summer experience so far! I’m sure your days spent at the beach and having ice cream or barbeques are making the summer, worthwhile. As a human being, I am here to spread the word on how you can make your summer, even better!!! Welcome to the new feature for getting con(vention)ed! This time we are taking a look at what kind of convention that Boston shall be hosting in August. YAY, Go Boston! On August 19th-20th, the Westin Boston Waterfront (say that ten times fast challenge) will hosting the Walker Stalker Con 2017, the leading convention based on the hit TV show, “The Walking Dead”! In the previous years, Walker Stalker Con has hosted several guests and stars of “The Walking Dead”, “Breaking Bad”, and “Better Call Saul”. If you are a fan of “The Walking Dead” in any way, this is the must go-to convention for you!

There have been a huge list of announced guests that are planning to attend Boston- Walker Stalker Con 2017 and more are expected to be attending within the next month before the convention. Some of the biggest stars from “The Walking Dead” that will be at Boston include Scott Wilson who plays the admirable Hershel Greene, Lennie James who plays Morgan James, Tom Payne acting as the unique Jesus, Michael Cudlitz who portrays the no-nonsense Sergeant Abraham Ford, and IronE Singleton who played T-dog! One other actor to mention who will be appearing at Boston that excites video-game lovers and me is Steven Ogg. You might know him as Simon from “The Walking Dead”, but I knew him first as the incredibly hilarious anti-hero, Trevor Phillips from one of the best games known as “GTA V”. The guest list doesn’t just include actors and actresses, but also talented artists such as Rob Prior, Scott Spillman, Kirk Manley, and tattoo artist: Chris 51 who appeared on A&E’s “Epic Ink”. Don’t worry, as I mentioned before, there are more guests to be announced later, most likely stars from the AMC shows. Click here: http://walkerstalkercon.com/boston/guests/ to view the entire announced guests list and check everyday for more updates. Guests are expected to attend on both Saturday and Sunday!

One major thing to note, you have the opportunities to have autographs and photo taken with the TV guests. If you would like to do either of these, you must purchase tickets to guarantee a photo or signing or you can run into a celebrity and if they have the time, click here for tickets: http://celebphotoops.com/event/walker-stalker-boston-2017. But before getting those photo/autograph tickets, you might want to get admission tickets first, let me tell you about that. Commonly most conventions last three days, “Walker Stalker Con” will be two days on Saturday from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM and Sunday from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM, August 19th-20th. Tickets stars at $45 for a Sunday only pass, $55 for a Saturday only pass, or you can go both days for just only $90, plus you get a cool badge for attending two-days!!! There are also VIPS passes on sale that can guarantee you earlier admission on both days, depending on the better VIP pass you purchase; it can get you either two or four individual autographs and photo opportunities of a celebrity of your choice. Good stuff, no scratch that, that’s awesome stuff. So far, there are tickets still on sale for each type of admission, so grab your pass ASAP by clicking on the link: https://www.showclix.com/event/WSCBoston2017. Remember, admission tickets are different from autographs/photo tickets.

What we can expect to be at the conventions are typical panels, but we can get a more concrete idea on the same week of Boston- Walker Stalker Con 2017. There is one event that is mentioned and it is called the Bisquick Challenge with Michael Cudlitz! This is an event where all attendees can bring food donations. There is also a competition between the all cities that Walker Stalker Con comes to and sees who can bring the most food in pounds. London is in first place at over 1700 lbs.! Kudos to you London! So let’s band together Boston and donate. The winner will always be the Food Banks. If you’re attending or planning to attend, bring 100% juice boxes, canned meals, low-sugar cereal, low salt canned vegetables, canned tuna or meat, canned fruit, peanut butter, pretty much canned goods are accepted, obviously Bisquick. So if you are going to see your favorite actors and actresses of “The Walking Dead”, want to give to a good cause, or have an overall great time, Boston- Walker Stalker Con 2017 is something to put on your calendar. Happy Con-ing everyone!

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
