Need more anime conventions to thirst your quench Manhattans and New Jersey/New York residents? Say no more. I got the thing to satisfy your desire. On August 18th-20th, Liberty City Anime Con will be taking place at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in New York. This young and very new convention will be focused mainly on the world and culture of anime. It makes me happy to see another convention to join the family of anime-based conventions in the Northeast region of the U.S. such as Anime Boston, Animaine, and Another Anime Convention.
If you’re tight on a budget, no need to fret, a three-day pass only costs $60. That’s only $20 a day! And if you aren’t able to make it for this year, you can get tickets for next year’s event right after the convention ends and it is at a low price of only $25! Mathematically, we are speaking only $8.33 for each day. There is a price increase by the time the convention gets closer, so my advice: get your tickets as soon as possible. Just in case, there is also single-day passes going as low as $40. Time is tight, so pre-register soon by clicking right here for their website: https://libertycityanimecon.com/event/161?r=/conregistrations/161.
So what’s going to be at Liberty City Anime Convention? There will always be the typical panels, screenings, and Q&A’s. You can see or even register for the cosplay contest and have a chance to win prizes. Musical events featuring 2une. Into raves and clubs, there is going to be a nightly dance set with a DJ, sweet lighting, and subwoofers. Into dancing, but not clubs? Liberty City Anime Con also has the Magic 8-ball that is their form of a formal dance. Music set to waltz and slow tunes. You can only really know what’s going to be at the convention if you get your passes and go!
