Entering my senior year at Georgia Southern, I came to realize that there was so much about this school and this town that I still hadn't seen and done. I came up with a "bucket list" my freshman year, that ended up growing more and more as I realized how much this little town has to offer. Here's my challenges for you, future Eagle graduate. Make some memories that matter and will last you a lifetime, and never have any "what-if's." Hail Southern!
1. Visit every pool in Statesboro.
That's right, I said all of them. All the apartment complexes, from the old Grove and Planters Row to the new Hamptons, Aspen Heights and Monarch 301 and all those in between. Both pools (indoor and outdoor) at the RAC, and even make it to the town water park of Splash in the Boro.
*Extra challenge: Jump off the high dive at the RAC!
2. Visit the Botanical Gardens.
It's gorgeous, and what else is there to do in Statesboro on a beautiful day? After you've tried out all the pools, of course.
3. Visit the Wildlife Center.
Walk around, meet Freedom the eagle, and play with some turtles.
4. Visit the Planetarium.
Yes, we actually have one, and you'll have to make a reservation, but it's totally worth it.
5. Explore every building on campus.
The old and the new. Each one has a little piece of Eagle history just waiting to be discovered.
6. Ride on a dirt road.
When all else fails, and you're not from small town USA, pile in a truck and go ridin'.
7. Leave your mark at the very top of a building on campus.
Not encouraging vandalism of any kind, but take that however you please.

8. Eat at the restaurants on campus at least once.
Landrum and Lakeside: They may not be a five-star gourmet meal, but hey, at least you can say you've been there and done that!
9. Take a cycling class at the RAC.
*Extra challenge: Do a yoga class at the RAC with your best friends and try not to laugh the whole time.
10. Go to the Farmers Market at Downtown Statesboro.
Farm fresh and local! And a chance to actually get to know our little Downtown Statesboro, every Saturday morning from 9-12:30!
11. Attend a major football game (or baseball, basketball, soccer, etc.).
We've played big names like Georgia Tech, nearly beaten UGA, and actually beaten UF. Try going to the Ole Miss game this year on November 5!
