Nintendo's new console, a hybrid of a handheld and stationary console called the Nintendo Switch is coming out this week and people are pumped. Preorders have sold out throughout all major retailers and videos of people unboxing the console have racked up over one million views.

The game list is still building and expanding everyday, but there have been some announcements that have gotten the public excited -- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Odyssey, to name a few.

While these games will not disappoint die hard Nintendo fans, I think the company could stand to bring back some old fan favorites. Here is my list of the top seven games Nintendo should remake and remaster for the Nintendo Switch.

1. Paper Mario

I'm talking genuine, authentic Paper Mario -- not any of this Color Splash or Sticker Star baloney. A new Paper Mario game that was similar to the original, or The Thousand Year Door would make many fans (including myself) super happy. Paper Mario had lots of charm, a great story line and awesome side kicks to fight along. Nintendo needs to bring back this game, ASAP.

2. Pokémon Stadium

IMO, Pokémon is having a huge revival. Not that Pokémon ever really got unpopular, but people seem to be buying the new games, downloading apps and getting more merch then they have in years previously. I still play Pokémon Stadium on a regular basis when I see my friends and someone breaks out their N64. The game (and minigames!) still stand the test of time -- I would happily play a remake of this game, with all the new Pokémon included!

3. Mario Kart: Double Dash

I know what you're saying,"but Nicole, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe is coming out for the Nintendo Switch, we have a Mario Kart game!" I hear what you're saying and Mario Kart 8 is an awesome game, but Double Dash is something special. The combo of characters, the double karts, the double special items -- that game was really something great and I think it deserves a second chance! Plus, imagine the online play.

4. Animal Crossing

I think by now everyone knows by now my absolute love of the Animal Crossing series. The update for the 3DS version was awesome and well needed, but I'm always looking for a new game with a new spin for a new system. There could be some cool new control options with the Nintendo Switch. I'd even be happy with a spin off game, something like Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival. The more games, the merrier!

5. Luigi's Mansion

This game was honestly one of the most fun Nintendo games I've ever experienced, and to be honest with you, I never even really played it that much -- I watched my brother play it tons and I had a blast just watching it like it was a movie. The quirky little scientist, all the ghosts and Luigi's constant antics make this game extremely rememberable and fun. I would place money on Nintendo fans going cray for a remake of this game.

6. Super Mario Sunshine

Okay, I'm going to be honest -- this game is the shit. The game follows Mario, Princess Peach and a handful of toads on a vacation when disaster strikes, and the island they're on becomes covered in sludge. Mario comes in and saves the day by completing various missions to help restore the island. This game is similar to Mario 64 in the best way possible and another game like this would be appreciated across the entire fan base.

7. Mario Party

I'm talking OG Mario Party -- like Mario Party 2 kind of game. The most recent Mario Party game changed some of the best parts, IMO. The gameplay includes all four players traveling in one cart, instead of each player moving individually. There is still minigames, but there are no stars anymore. The plot of the OG Mario Party was simple and perfect -- get the most stars, win the most minigames and you win. Bring back a game like that and I'll be one happy fan.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
