Video games are a fun topic for most people to talk about. Some do not like them at all, others cannot go a day without them. They are good and bad things about them it all depends on how you look at it. There will be some bias in this because of my love of video games but I will try to keep it to the minimum. However it might as well be in the open.

Now one group that tends to hate on them is People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, PETA, now they aren’t a great source to look at however they are one of the loudest. They have had some cases where they outdo themselves. One example Assassin’s Creed: Black Flags, where they go whaling. Now the game series tries to be as historically accurate as it can be. The game takes place when killing whales was a way to get supplies and an income for people and with the fact that the game does require you to make and buy stuff to help with some of the game it makes sense that they add this. Now for reasons like this I do not agree with PETA, or take them with much seriousness.

Now there is the argument that they stop teens and young adults from doing well in school. Well this is one of those things where they are both right and wrong. The reason for it being both depends on three primary things. The first being depends on how much they are playing if they play non stop then they need to stop playing. The second being what game they do play because there are games like The Legend of Zelda that have puzzles in them that make the player think. Now last but not least the third being the player themselves, meaning is the person doing bad or good for other reasons.

Now the violence in games is a complaints about them that I do not get. They do get rated by Entertainment Software Rating Board, ESRB, for good reason. It is so that games do not get played by someone who is too young. I have played rated M games that have pushed some of my limits on things, annoying ploits tend to be the things that push it. Along with the fact that it also leads to violence outburst and shootings. This all depends on the person that is playing because of mental condition that they may have. It is not the only reason for it happen but it is the most likely one.

It also drive people apart but it can make lasting friendship. Now this is one that if it is all you do can hurt your social life more than help it. Now it can bring people together in ways that is unique. I have had a friend since elementary because of a game that everyone has heard of, Pokemon. We were on a bus trip, he wanted to take a nap and he wanted to catch a Pokemon, that he was having trouble with, so he asked me to do it. By the time he had awoken up it was apart of his party.

Video games are a way of life that like any way of life has its good and bad. It all depends on the person that is doing it. It is always fun to talk about to see which side is right. But it is time for me to go because my

princess is in another castle.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
