Valentine's Day? I Think You Mean Gal/Palentine's Day

If you don't have any plans yet for this Galentine's Day, what's the hold up?!?

Valentine's Day? I Think You Mean Gal/Palentine's Day

Of course, with Valentine's day being right around the corner, a lot of us start to ponder what our plans will be, if we have any prospects, or what exactly will be going down.

With that being said, it is important to take note of the fact that just because you may not have that, "someone special" that you plan on spending the infamous February 14th with, does not mean that this day can't be just as enjoyable for you.

Not to put myself on blast or anything, but I personally do not have any set plans this valentines day with a guy, so, my roommate and I both decided we deserve to go out to dinner and eat some good food and enjoy our night, too.

It is important to take note that just because you do not have any specific plans with someone special on this holiday, does not mean you have to walk around in self- wallow and pity. We should still enjoy our day and treat ourselves!

I for one, could honestly completely care less this year as to what my friends are doing and have not drawn myself within one ounce of self-pity, despite the fact that I do not have some big romantic plans.

Galentine's Day is an awesome opportunity to treat you and your girls to some nice dinner, catch a movie you've been wanting to see, do face masks, or even just chill at home drinking wine or playing board games.

I, for one, will not be skirting past Valentine's Day section like I normally would, because this is just one year out of the many opportunities I will have for some big romantic gesture with this holiday!!

Don't be a lame and pity yourself this Valentine's Day — just turn it in to Galentine's Day or a day for you.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
