10 Reasons Galentine's Day Beats Out Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is so overrated. So February 13th, gather all of your favorite gal pals to celebrate this wonderful day! Here are some reason's why your girlfriends are your best friends to have around for this day:

1. You can reminisce on your favorite memories, plan for your futures, and let them know how much you love them!

2. They don't sugarcoat anything... they tell you how it is.

3. They support all of your decisions even if they are irrational, dumb, or crazy.

4. It doesn't matter what time of the day it is, they are always there for you.

5. You can ask them for anything... a tampon, shoulder to lean on, and more.

6. They will let you finish the whole bottle of wine.

7. You can be yourself around them.

8. You don't have to get all dressed up to hang out with them.

9. They are always down to take pictures.

10. Friends are forever.

So get out and celebrate, ladies <3

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
