It's not a secret that I'm a huge lover of Wonder Woman and that I would go to my grave defending Diana Prince. In fact, I wrote a completely separate article expressing my admiration of the Amazonian Princess.

But now it's time to turn the spotlight to Gal Gadot, the Israeli actress who plays the famous role of Wonder Woman in the live action movies.

For most people and myself included, Gadot has been doing an excellent job of meeting the expectations and standards that comes with being Wonder Woman, who is a notable feminist icon. In fact, I would say that Gadot is a real life Wonder Woman herself.

Recently, Gadot has been making headline news for her new blockbuster film, Justice League (and yes, Justice League was a wonderful movie! Definitely, go see it if you haven't already). But amidst the excitement and global promotions, she has been involved in a more important issue: sexual assault. More specifically, Gadot revealed that she will not sign for and star in a Wonder Woman sequel as long as Brett Ratner is still involved with the franchise.

Just last month, Gadot had skipped out on a dinner that was meant to celebrate Ratner and apparently, she was supposed to present him with an award.

But the question is why? Why is Gadot so opposed to Ratner?

For all the right reasons, of course.

According to Page Six and Polygon, Ratner has been accused of multiple (like six or seven) allegations of sexual misconduct. Some allegations include forced oral sex and masturbation in a car with an unnamed woman in his presence. (Seriously, what is wrong with this guy?!)

As stated on Polygon, Gadot "doesn’t believe a movie with themes of women’s empowerment both in the story and in its publicity should be co-financed by a man like Ratner facing accusations of sexual misconduct toward women." Time and time again, Gadot proves herself to be a supporter of female empowerment and righteousness.

She won't sign on until Warner Bros. kicks Ratner out.

The ultimatum? Either he goes or she does.

And given the unbelievable success of the first Wonder Woman film, Warner Bros. would be at a huge loss and disadvantage if they don't have Gadot on their side. So now, I just want to take a moment to applaud and praise Gadot on her brilliant and strategic plan.

Because it worked.

During an interview on NBC's Today Show, Gadot officially confirmed that Ratner will not be involved nor allowed to participate in the sequel. Gadot dubbed that this was "the right thing to do" and that many people felt the same disdain towards Ratner that she did.

“[Gadot is] tough and stands by her principles. She also knows the best way to hit people like Brett Ratner is in the wallet,” said a source from Warner Bros.

Moral of the story?

Don't sexually assault people because there are so many Wonder Women, not just Gal Gadot, that will come after you and make you regret your actions.

The much-anticipated Wonder Woman sequel is set to be released on November 1st, 2019.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
