After eating in the GAG for four years one starts to get creative with their food choices. Over the years I have come up with a few creations that I like to make to mix it up. Bring out your inner chef and try some of these next time you’re in the GAG.

Breakfast Casserole:

On Biscuit and gravy day make your own casserole with scrambled eggs, gravy, and shredded hash browns. (grab a bowl and mix it all together)

Milkshake:

Make a milkshake by combining milk, soft serve ice cream, and cookie crumbs.

Pizza Bagel:

Grab a bagel (toast it), get sauce from the pasta station, pepperoni and cheese from the sandwich station and microwave to melt the cheese.

Chicken Parmesan:

Simply get pasta and marinara, hop over and grab a chicken patty, add parmesan cheese. Boom done.

Peanut Butter Frosting:

Peanut butter, powdered sugar and a little bit of milk, mix together and add to bagels, brownies, bananas, etc.

Fried Ice Cream:

Take cinnamon ice cream and put on rice crispies or corn flakes on top. Then you can sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and chopped nuts.

Apple Nachos:

Take and apple and slice it up. Add caramel syrup, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, peanut butter, etc.

Cereal On Ice Cream:

Not much explanation needed but Cocopuffs on ice cream is amazing!

Quesadilla:

Grab a tortilla from the sandwich station, add shredded cheese, salsa, and grilled chicken (if they have it) then put on the panini press.

Hot Drink Add Ins:

Add marshmallow syrup to hot chocolate and ice cream to coffee. Actually adding any ice cream syrup to coffee is a great choice.

So there you have it. Ten ways to spice up your meals in the GAG. Don’t be afraid to try new things and get creative!

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.

I am without a doubt one of those people who refuses to start decorating for Christmas or listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving has become an underrated holiday over the years. You barely see any Thanksgiving decorations in stores; it's like they skip right from Halloween to Christmas.

Some universities only get two or three days off for Thanksgiving break. Or, if your university is like mine, you get the whole week off go go home. A whole week off is a long time. I'm not complaining, because I'd rather have a whole week off than three days, but there is a lot of down time. Here are some ideas as to what you can do to get the most out of your Thanksgiving break.

For college students everywhere, Thanksgiving is a time to relax and not really worry about homework (well, depending on what major you're in). However, going home for Thanksgiving is actually a lot more complicated and stressful than it looks. From traveling, to Thanksgiving in general, the stages of going home can drive students crazy.
