This one man really put rap into great form and style; he also heralds his own style and swagger. This person has reinvented the rap game and caused it to evolve. A man who came from a poor background and from some of the greatest hardships or struggles ever faced. His life contained a father who was not around and struggling to survive. The man's name is Future or Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn. The 33 year old is the father of modern rap using auto-tune as the device and getting others on board.

Future truly is going to go down as one of the greatest artists ever alive and one of the greatest rappers to rap. For anyone who does not know about Future, he is a rapper, singer, record producer, and hit-maker in the music industry. His specialty is rapping specifically on trap beats. Additionally, he is known for a lot of specific quotes in music.

He has a lot of hits of his own, but one of his best and one of my favorite songs has to be the track "Where Ya At," featuring Drizzy. The song documents people acting like they were there, although they weren't. Drake and Future rap over a nice beat with a nice chorus. Both rappers who are some of the best out there document their grind and rising to the top of the game.

There are too many hits that the rapper has had to even count. Versatility is important for an artist and Future is no different. He can do a lot of things on the track to singing a melodic catchy chorus, to rapping on the song, to singing his heart out. Year in and year out he defies what it means to be a single artist by dropping two consecutive albums within a week or so between. Both were pretty lengthy as well and it is agreeable that the rapper is one of the hardest working in the music industry.

The albums were his self titled album "Future," and his singing, much more sentimental album "HNDRXX." Both were great works of art; the self titled one was his regular form of rapping over hard beats and anthems of money, girls, and cars. Future made sure to state that he is the true one and he managed to make fun of rapper Desiigner. Some highlights on the album were the beginning track "Rent Money," which kicks off the savageness from the beginning. Other highlight songs were "Zoom," "Draco," "Mask Off," "Scrape," "Poppin' Tags," and sad closer "Feds Did a Sweep." My favorite song and a clear favorite was "Mask Off," where the rapper lists his addiction to drugs and on it masking his emotions. The mask is a symbolic item to describe putting a mask on to hide while using the drugs. The song also lists his rise to fame and coming up from having nothing. On the album he showed the audience and fans he could do other things. Future included ad libs that inflected the tracks and added a blandness. Girls slow someone down and he includes that idea to chase money instead of women on "Mask Off."

From the very beginning, his first works "Dirty Sprite," and "Streets Callin," were a different kind of Future before a trap monster or God would be born. His earlier work was singing that was okay, but not incredible. It was this new trap voice and kind of monster that would lead him to hits and greatness at a rapid pace. The rapper has an abundance of projects, either albums and mixtapes to his impressive resume.

The prominent rapper released so many mixtapes that it is tough to count how many and name all of them. The greatest and most important to his career was mixtape "Monster," where a monster was indeed born. Future changed his career at this point, changing his voice and direction. It was this direction and voice that he would keep and that has been here to stay for a long time. Tracks "Radical," album name track "Monster," "Codeine Crazy," "Fetti,' and "Gangland," were all highlights. This mixtape was a game changer for the artist and it would forever change his life. From this point afterwards, he would continue to make hits.

His versatility is shown on songs with prominent band "Maroon 5," where he brings the tracks to new levels. He has worked with many different popular artists. Future has worked with other artists such as The Weeknd, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, Ariana Grande, Calvin Harris, and Drake.

Future and Drake dropped a collaborative project in 2015 that turned heads. The work was called "What a Time To Be Alive," and what a time it was and is to be alive in this generation. Music has been getting better and gaining ground. The rap game has changed from what it was many years ago; it can be argued for better or worse. But no one can really talk badly about Future.

First track "Digital Dash," is one of my favorite tracks on the whole collaborative album. Future and Drake rap over a nice beat interjecting between each other. Both of the artists showcase their clever wordplay. Prominent song "Jumpman," was all over the web and internet when it released. It is a high energy infectious track that boosts emotions and adrenaline. While "Diamonds Dancing," and "Plastic Bag," are singing anthems that are sentimental and filled with humor.

Future's best work of music to date is "DS2," and it stands as one of my favorite rap albums, and I think it is his best yet. The album as a whole had few features besides Drake on a notable track. But between the lyrics, the beats, and the emotions, they all fit into one another. The beats all fold into one another and fit really well with the lyrics; it is a complete almost perfect work of art. Future was at his best here crafting memorable lines over a syrupy haze inferno. The first track "I Thought It Was a Drought," brought the syrupy haze to a motion and next track "I Serve the Base," brought some of the best lyrics on the track over a menacing beat. He states, "I F*** around and did it on my own. Come and f** with me baby, I'm a franchise. Molly and them xans got me aggravated. Put them hundreds and hundreds, yeah we segregated." These are some of his best lines. But he continues, "I can't change, I was God-given. Tryna make a pop star and they made a monster. A product of them roach in 'em ashtrays. I inhale the love on a bad day, baptized inside purple Activis." The rest of the album follows behind. Song "Trap N****s," has one of the best trap beats on the album and one that Future's voice rings in the background. The pump up close out track, "F** Up Some Commas," brings the energy up even towards the end.

Future's other work "Beast Mode," is a beast of it's own. Short but sweet to the point, tracks like "Lay Up," "Where I Came From," and "Real Sisters," have and show a lot of swagger and a redemptive story. A story that is unique and ironic. On this work he brags about his riches and fame in the industry and in his life. It was a fun project to just release to the public.

His other great works of art like album "EVOL," spelled love backwards brought the same kind of dark Future. Notable track "Low Life," featuring high up artist The Weeknd, bring a great track. Future raps sleekly across the track with notable lines, "Make her take a sip of Ace of Spade like it's water. I been on the molly and them Xans with your daughter. Porsches in the valet, I got Bentley's, I got 'Raris. Taking pain pills on the plane, gettin' chartered." These are some of my favorite lines from the rapper.

Future is one of the biggest names in the rap genre, one of the Dons. The Future looks brighter than diamonds for the rapper as he will soar to greatness. He will go down as one of the best rappers to ever do it. Future has already changed the rap game and reinvented it. However, no one can copy him and he makes it certain. The Future is here, and he is here to stay.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
