We all want things to go our way in life, but that's not always the case. Sometimes, we have to do things we don't want or life hits us in unusual ways. Sometimes things refuse to go the way we planned and I hope that my future self won't take these heartbreaks and problems in vain. Sometimes we forget to remind ourselves of what's truly important in life. This is a reminder to future self.

1. Your one sided love for a lover or friend is essential.

Some people may love you, while others might hate you. Loving too deeply is what you do and it has given you many heartbreaks, but that doesn't have to stop you from continuously loving.

2. Sometimes you have to close a door to open a new one.

When you realize that a certain part of your life has to come to a close, don't hesitate to take a new opportunity for the better. You will learn from your mistakes and that's part of growing.

3. Letting go of certain people is healthy.

You don't have to keep everyone in your life. People will come and go. If a friendship isn't going right, turn the page and life will reward you with a new friend.

4. Certain people will only talk to you when it is beneficial to them.

When people see how good life is treating you, they will come calling to you. Ignore it, not because you're prideful, but because you know people's intentions aren't always good.

5. Not everyone has a heart like yours.

Everyone is different and no one can compare to the heart of gold that you have. You love to easy and fall too deeply, but your heart can take what life gives.

6. That boy that rejected you didn't know any better.

That guy you once loved was too young to understand what love was. That shouldn't stop you from moving on in life.

7. Forgive those who hurt you, but never forget.

They say you should forgive and forget, but one never truly forgets. Forgive so you can move on, but never forget because the feelings will still remain, regardless.

8. Be careful with the people who left and come back into your life.

God has already shown you who these people are. No matter how hard they try to come back, don't let them. They will only hurt you once again.

9. You’re confused, but soon enough you will know what you want.

Maybe you're too young to know where you want to go in life, but soon enough, God will open your eyes to wonderful possibilities.

10. Love yourself because of who you are and what you are becoming.

We change with time and we learn something new everyday. Love who you are and what you are becoming because God is directing your steps.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
