If you missed the last article, it was about new products that have come out for drink lovers, and I don't mean the alcohol type, but I'm sure you can spice up whatever your drinking.
This article will focus on new technologies that have come out in the fashion industry. Some of these clothing ideas are still in the works but some are here and ready for consumers to try out.
1. Liquid Genius
Old Navy created liquid repelling WHITE jeans. YES PLEASE! I stain my white pants all the time and these will repel all liquids. Plus they don't bleed through if you stain the insides!
2. ODO
Denim liquid repelling and odor resistant jeans. ODO says that you'll never have to wash these jeans as they clean them selves.
3. Mood Sweater
This brings me back to the mood rings, unlike those though, the mood sweater has the Galvanic Extimacy Responder (GER) which is based on the GSR – Galvanic Skin Response which reads electrodermal activity.
4. Blast Boxers
These were originally made for men in the army. Blast Boxers are a heavily-reinforced underwear that can give your crotch region armor-like protection.
5. Solar Panel Jackets
Tommy Hilfiger has made these solar panel jackets that once charged, can then charge your phone. For all those people who cannot live without their phones, this is a must.
6. 3D printed suit
A 3D printed suit that is a wearable MP3 player. This outfit is a "one-piece suit that has electrical threads woven into the fabric, enabling it to provide GPS, Wi-Fi and air-cleaning technologies," says Dan Howarth, in an article he wrote on dezeen. An air-quality sensor built into the suit counts the particles of carbon monoxide, methane and dust that surrounds the body. Cold plasma is then used by grabbing on to the bad particles in the air around you and then drops to the ground creating a clean bubble of air surrounding you. This sweater pretty much does everything for you!
7. Radiate
For those who love to work out and want to know what muscles your working on, these shirts are for you. It goes beyond changing colors in the heat, by changing colors where your muscles heat up so you can see the exact area you're working on.
8. Lumo Run
These legging or shorts are created to help with better posture while exercising. They work with sensors that track running metrics including cadence, bounce, ground contact time, braking, pelvic rotation and stride length. All of this information enables the wearer to see what needs to be worked on while running.
9. LikeAGlove
These leggings measure the wearer's shape in order to help with online shopping in the right size. No more guessing if the clothes you ordered will fit! The measurements get sent via an app that can be linked with Bluetooth when shopping and the app will then weed out the clothes that won't fit.
10. Athos
This is an outfit for working out as well. It comes in either a shirt or shorts that contain EMG sensors which detect heart rate, breathing, and muscle activity. The Athos will be another great tool for muscle focused workouts.
So here are 10 of the latest fashion leaps. Some of these I can't believe are almost here whereas others, I feel, should've been here sooner.
Stayed tuned for more interesting inventions.
