Yeah working out is hard and tiring, especially during the summer, but the results will pleasingly shock you. These exercising ways will not only keep you fit but will also help you have fun!

Fun fact: Exercising releases endorphins in your brain, which are hormones that make you feel happy.

1.  Go for a run with your friend.

Running

Sometimes, exercise can get boring. To keep it fun, you can invite a friend to work out with you. Going running with your friends is one of the most popular techniques used to work out. Get a protein shake and go for a run in the morning with your friend in a nearby park or nature trail! If not outside, you could always run or jug on a treadmill in a gym.

2. Play a sport (doesn't have to be competitive).

Swimming

Being involved in a sports team doesn't only ensure your fitness level but also allows for social interaction. It helps build team work skills and helps you have fun with your friends/team mates. If you're not interesting in being involved in sports teams, playing tennis or going swimming with family/friends would be a wonderful way to relax and exercise at the same time.

3. Go to a nearby gym.

If you have a YMCA or a Lifetime Fitness center near your home, go join! Many communities will have a community gym and if it isn't possible to drive far to fitness centers, try out your community gym. In case you think you're going to get bored, get a workout buddy, or listen to music. Cardio exercises like the treadmill and weightlifting can build your strength and improve your stamina.

4. Dance to some music.

Just Dance

When you're alone and bored, instead of sitting on the couch or watching TV, get up, play some music, and dance to the beat! If you have a Just Dance, that's also a great way to get in exercise through dance. Having Just Dance isn't always necessary as you can find just dance videos on YouTube.

5. Exercise using workout videos.

If you can't or don't want to go outside to workout, watch workout videos on YouTube and follow as shown. Multiple videos show creative new ways to exercise which doesn't require outdoor activities. Music videos, with moderate to intense dance routines, are also a fun way to exercise.

6. Clean the house.

Even thought it doesn't seem like much, cleaning the house actually burns a lot of calories. Whenever you're feeling bored or want to do a quick workout, vacuum the house, wash your car, clean the kitchen, or even tidy up your room. It might not seem like much but it does burn many calories.

7. Walk up the stairs.

Walking

It sounds silly but it is actually pretty useful in burning calories. The next time you're bored, just grab your earphones and walk up and down the stairs. If the area you live in is hilly or slightly steep, you can also try walking in those places instead of only stairs.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
