Living on Long Island is a great experience to begin with. Add summer into the picture and your ordinary day turns into a better adventure. Long Islander’s love their summer and crave for summer days all year round! Here are some must do’s for Long Islanders this summer!

1. Beach

Living on an island means that you have the opportunity to have a beach no more than 30-minutes away. Going to the beach during the summer is a must and it is a great chance to just sit back and relax with some friends. Some great beaches to hit this summer are Smith Point, Jones Beach, Robert Moses, Corey Beach and plenty more!

2. Atlantis Marine World

Atlantis marine world is a wonderful place to go either on a sunny or rainy day. At Atlantis, you can enjoy the beauty of life under the sea! You can see all the different kinds of marine life that come from all over the world, and you can even swim with sharks in a tank. The fun never stops when you are at with the marine life.

3. The Brookhaven Fair

The Brookhaven fair is a great way to start off your summer! The fair happens right on the peak on Long Island, on Bald Hill. The fair is a wonderful time for everyone of the family and is open for only a few weekends in the start of the summer!

4. Avalon Park And Preserve

Avalon park and preserve is located right in Stony Brook, and is a beautiful park to explore when you are bored. This park is filled with everything for nature lovers! It is filled with so many opportunities to reconnect with your inner-self. When going to this park you will feel automatically relieved from stress and calm. The park can make you forget about what is happening outside the park gates.

5. Port Jefferson

Port Jefferson is a small little town located on the North Shore. This town is a great go to in the summer! You can walk around and window shop all different types of shops. Down port also has concerts in the summer that are held outside and it is a great chance to feel the summer breeze. When you are down port, you should also make sure that you go and get ice cream while walking around.

6. Montauk

Montauk is by far one of the best adventures you can take this summer! You can go for a sunrise, or sunset or even just a day trip. The town of Montauk has small little shops that you can visit before you spend the day at the beach. While in Montauk, going to the famous lighthouse is an absolute must. Climbing up to the top will give you a view that is like no other!

7. Concerts at Jones Beach

Going to a concert at Jones Beach is one of the greatest feelings in the world. You can spend all day at the beach and barbecue in the parking lot until the show starts. At Jones Beach, you can't get a bad seat to watch a concert because you have the water right behind the stage and you can see the concert from almost any angle.

8. Fire Island

Fire Island is a great place to have a mini vacation on the weekends. You can rent out condos for the weekend and just spend every day at the beach. You can also rent boats and jet skis, and can even go fishing off any dock!

Living on Long Island you can never be bored during the summer!
