Having a fun-filled summer doesn't have to be expensive, but what matters is who you're spending it with and the memories that you gain from these experiences. Although summer is a time to relax, you wanna have fun. Here are some fun ideas to consider:

1. Go Hiking

Hiking is cheap, fun, and you get a great exercise from it! There are so many parks throughout the United States that are free to go to, and they have beautiful scenery so you can take some awesome photos along the way!

2. Go To The Beach

Going to the beach is always fun and affordable! Although here in New Jersey, they charge you approximately $8 to get on the beach, most beaches throughout the United States are free, and you can save even more money by bringing your own lunch in a cooler rather than buying food at the beach!

3. Go To A Drive-In Movie

The best things about drive-in movies are the facts that you get more privacy and you don't have to listen to a ton of people talking like you would in a regular movie theater. You can make yourself comfortable in your own car by bringing blankets, food, whatever you want and just enjoy the movie while the sun is setting and have a fun night.

4. Go On Bike Rides

I've always been a huge fan of riding bikes, but unfortunately, not too many people do it anymore. Not only is it a great exercise but it's also fun to do it where there's a nice scenery such as when the sun rises or sets or even on a beautiful beach or park!

5. Go Stargazing

Stargazing has got to be the most relaxing and romantic thing to do. You basically just sit there with friends, family, or your significant other and watch the beautiful stars and watch out for shooting stars while talking about whatever your heart desires.

6. Go Somewhere Awesome nd Take Cool Pictures

I'm all about traveling, but it can also be quite expensive. If you can afford it, I'd say go for it. However, if you cannot afford an exotic vacation, there are plenty of places that you can go to and take really cool pictures without breaking your bank account.

7. Invest In A Hammock And Lay In It

Hammocks are a great way to enjoy nature and relax. There's nothing better than grabbing a good book, laying outside, breathing fresh air, and relaxing.

8. Go Swimming/Night Swimming

Swimming is a great way to get exercise and keep cool at the same time! There are so many fun games you can play while being in the pool, and on top of that, you can get a smokin' tan! (Unless it's night time, of course.)

9. Go For A Walk While The Sun Is Going Down

Believe it or not, going for a walk while the sun is going down is really nice, and it is also the perfect time to take trendy pictures!

10. Go To An Amusement Park

Although amusement parks can be quite pricey, they're a lot of fun. Grabbing some friends and spending the day at an amusement park can be a ton of fun, and if you all go in the same car, you can split the parking costs to make it a bit more affordable for everyone.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
