15 Fall Date Ideas

In Ohio the weather changes so quickly, we've gone from it being eighty degrees and sunny, down to fifty degrees and rainy and back up to the eighties within a week. And we consider that normal. Sometimes with the weather constantly changing, it's hard to come up with date ideas. Should we go inside? Outside? And then you end up just watching a movie on Netflix. So here's a list of fun dates for you and your significant other!

1. Star gazing

For the warmer nights, go to an open wooded area with some blankets or a hammock, snuggle up and look at the stars, who knows maybe you'll get lucky and see a shooting star!

2. Eat everything pumpkin

Sure pumpkin pie is a classic dessert, but why settle for that when you can have pumpkin spice oreos, pretzels, pudding, muffins. Seriously what isn't pumpkin?

3. Take a hike

Fall is the best time to go exploring in nature as the leaves are changing colors and everything is bright and colorful

4. Have a Halloween/scary movie marathon

Hocus Pocus should be number one on the list, just saying.

5. Apple picking

Fresh apples, apple cider, apple butter, and all the deliciousness that comes along with it.

6. Paint some pumpkins

Long gone are the days of carving, paint your favorite tv character, a cool pattern, favorite emoji or anything else your pumpkin filled mind can come up with

7. Drive in movie

The best way to watch a movie is to be under the stars, curled up with a ton of blankets, eating a bucket of outrageously priced popcorn.

8. Throw a costume party

Invite all your friends and family! Have a costume contest, bob for apples, mummy wrap each other and tell scary stories.

9. Go on a hayride

What's better than a hayride? A haunted hayride.

10. Make caramel apples

Sure apples are great, but caramel apples are twenty thousand times better.

11. Have a bonfire

who doesn't love a good s'more?

12. Visit a pumpkin patch

13. Watch the sunset or sunrise

Sure the sunset and sunrise are beautiful year round but there's extra beauty when the leaves are practically a rainbow.

14. Go camping

Escape all the crazy technology and enjoy the peace and quiet

15. Photoshoot

Have a fall photoshoot to remember all the fun times you two had!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
