They eat A LOT
They eat about 3,000 brine shrimp per day.
They are monogamousÂ
They mate for life, they find that one fish..seahorse for life.
Male seahorses have babies
The females implant them into the males for safe keeping.
Mated pairs of seahorses swim with their tails linked together
Camouflage is their forteÂ
They can blend in with their environment pretty well, you may pass one and never know they were there!
Their eyes work independently from one another.Â
They don't work together. They are able to have one eye look behind them!
Like Zebra's they have their own unique markings
Apart of their body is called a coral net, and each net is different and unique to each seahorse!
They ARE fish
They have an exoskeleton rather than scales. But they also have gills to breath, fins for swimming and a swim bladder for to keep them upright.
