Valentine's Day is often a time when single people feel left out, which makes them not want to celebrate the holiday. Well, gather your other single friends, because just because you are single doesn't mean that you can't still have a great day!

1. Have an anti-Valentine's Day party

Get all of your single friends together, make drinks, and play games. Play games such as "For The Girls", Cards Against Humanity, and Red Flags. You can decorate your apartment or wherever the gathering is happening with anti-Valentine's Day decor and dress up in fun outfits!

2. Have a movie night in

Movie nights are always so fun. Have a night in and watch whatever kind of movies you like! Pop some popcorn and get your favorite snacks and drinks!

3. If you are near Columbus, Ohio, go to the Valentine scare park!

If you are really anti-Valentine's Day, go to a scare park. If you are a fan of thrills and scares, this is probably the place for you. You most definitely won't see couples making out if you go here.

4. Go out to the bars if you are of age or go to the spa or mall if you're not!

Going out is always fun with your friends. It is unlikely that you will see a ton of couples canoodling in a place like this! This is a good way to get out of your head, relax, and have a good time!

5. Decorate cookies

This never fails. Decorating cookies can be so fun. You can do Valentine's Day themed ones or bake your own and decorate those! They can be whatever shape you want them to be!

6. Do a photoshoot

This photoshoot doesn't have to have a theme, but you could do an anti-love theme. Dress in black, have torn-up roses, and take cute pictures with your friends! You will have these pictures for a long time and you can look back on them fondly!

7. Go sing karaoke or play Just Dance

This is fun on a regular night, but make it Valentine's Day themed! Play songs like "It's Raining Men", "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", or "Single Ladies"!

8. Do crafts!

Paint pottery, do a DIY project, or just do a paint night! This is something memorable and something you can save for the future! This can also be a yearly tradition and you will have something from each year.

9. Valentine's Day gift exchange

This does not have to be expensive or something like a Christmas exchange. Everyone can buy gag gifts, put them in a pile, and take turns picking a gift to get! This is a fun and low-pressure way to have fun and make memories!

10. Bake or try a dessert tasting

Have everyone bring or make their own dessert. Trade and see who has the group's favorite!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
