Because nothing beats a good book.

If you're looking for me I'm most likely cuddled up somewhere reading. My love for books started at a very young age and I never got tired of them, how could I? Barnes and Noble is my happy place even though I absolutely adore the unique little bookshops and book café's that I sometimes stumble upon. If you ever ask to borrow a book from me...good luck. I'm the absolute worse at sharing/loaning books to other people. I swear after each book I read I form an attachment to them and I just cannot let them go. Fun fact I do not think I ever read a book I own more than once. I always plan to read them again but than a new book ends up in my hands and the cycle goes on and repeats. My bookcase can barely handle any more books, I have resorted to putting the older ones in bins. One day I will have my own library in my home with walls of shelves, a desk, and a lovely window seat. This will happen, simply because it just had too.

1. Escape from reality.

When I read a book I immediately escape from my reality, it is like I am transported into a whole unique world from my own. I lose my own identity forming into the main character's identity, feeling their emotions of love, heartache and happiness. Books give me a different perspectives on things that I might not come across in my lifetime. I can disappear into a book almost instantly.

2. It is like a movie but better.

I can picture the entire book in my mind like I am watching a movie. When I start reading the characters appearances appear through the well thought out description and detail from the author. One time I was convinced when I saw a commercial for a new movie that I had seen it already. It turned out that it was a book I read a while ago that pictured so vividly in my mind when I had read it that it all came back to me and looked exactly the same as the trailer that was playing on TV.

3. Nothing beats cuddling up with a book on a rainy day.

Grab that worn out copy of your favorite book or a new one that you are ready to explore diving into the depths of as you cuddle up. Thinking about cuddling up with a book makes me feel so content, I can see myself snuggling under a big fuzzy blanket with high socks on, a cup of tea or hot coco on the night stand and a book in my hand. Nothing is better than these moments.

4. There is never a shortage of books!

There is always a new book going through that magical writing process and being published so it can line the shelves of your local book shop or Barnes and Noble. When you think you have read them all, you really haven't. There is still so many unique stories to be read and discovered.

5. Small book shops and Book Cafe's are amazing.

Stumbling upon a little book shop or book café makes any book lovers day. They always have the most unique and interesting books there for you to read. At a book café you can spend countless hours drinking tea and reading your day away till you are no longer there because you are fully immersed in the book.

P.S. Read Books They're Awesome!

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
