From Now On Your Kindness Will Lead You To Success

"Take the battles you face and walk away with strength. Walk away with the knowledge of how to better yourself as a person every day. Most importantly, walk away with kindness."

From Now On Your Kindness Will Lead You To Success

Sometimes in life I think everybody hits those points where everything keeps going downhill and you honestly feel there’s not more that you can take. Just when you think things have gotten bad, it gets worse. You spent every day trying your hardest, trying to be the best person you can be. You get to the point where you ask yourself, “What did I do to deserve this?” In most cases, the answer is nothing. There is nothing you did to deserve the heartbreaks and struggles occurring in your life right now. Sometimes God really does give his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers.

Recently, I was in that place where everything kept going wrong. My heart was hurting, and some days still do, but I was angry for a while. Angry at the universe because I couldn’t understand why this all had to happen. I tried everything I could to help suffering situations, to help some people from slipping away. When I kept grieving from losses and the hardships life sometimes brings, I asked myself the question, “What did I do to deserve this?” And like I said before, the answer is nothing. I know I have the potential to bring a lot to this world and the determination and mindset to make the world a better place, as do all of you. I sat and pondered for a while wondering where will life lead me next, how will I recover? You see the great thing about life is that sometimes when you least expect it if you open your eyes you will see the signs around you. That day I unexpectedly came across a tiny saying that read, “From now on your kindness will lead you to success.” From that day forward I became more optimistic, more accepting of life.

My point is no matter how hard you try in life, some things you absolutely cannot control. Sometimes fate takes over and things happen for a reason. What is important is how you handle it. Take the battles you face and walk away with strength. Walk away with the knowledge of how to better yourself as a person every day. Most importantly, walk away with kindness. The kindness you allow to grow inside your heart and the kindness you spread and treat others with is what matters. You will find people who take advantage of your kindness, but that doesn’t mean you should ever stop giving it. Those who don’t appreciate and take advantage of your kindness don’t matter and never will in your life. Keep your head high and walk forward with kindness and there will always be a bigger and better door opening for you. The day you choose to consistently use kindness is the day life will change for you. From now on your kindness will lead you to success, as long as you always use it despite whatever life throws your way.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
