I am 27 years old and I am unashamed to say last year was the first time I can remember bringing something other than beer to Thanksgiving Dinner with my family. Maybe you are in the same Mayflower?
It isn't that I dislike cooking or am incapable of conquering culinary kitchen creations, time management just isn't my thing and I come from a long line of brilliant bakers and more than capable cooks so why bother? I am happy to help my culinary goddess of a mother in the kitchen and bring the beer!
This year is the year though, I'm going to think about bringing something other than alcohol. What to bring though?! Like most, I do not discriminate in the world of food and have pieced together 12 options to grace Thanksgiving dinner table with this year. Check out these recipes ranging from easy to elegant, vegan to carnivorous, and everything in between.

12. Beer
I'm a realist. I know I am probably going to forget it's the week of Thanksgiving until Wednesday afternoon...rush to the nearest open grocery store... and pick up a seasonal sampler 12-pack. And that is ok.
Maybe this year I'll bring a dish to pass or continue my tradition of bringing my boxed contribution but at least this year I have thought about making something... Either way I will be attending my family Thanksgiving with a grateful and happy heart and that is the contribution that matters.
