Donald Trump is going to be the President of the United States.

If you haven't watched the news lately, if you haven't listened to the radio, or checked in the newspaper chances are you have been tracking this year's election through social media websites such as Facebook or Twitter. It's incredible to see how bold and true people you know are when it came to this election. Facebook has become a metaphorical stage for us as individuals to voice our opinions without shame or without fear of becoming booed off stage.

I have seen countless times during this election where I have seen "Friends" post with words like "Anybody I see post about Hillary I'm writing you off in my book" or the same about Trump.

Life has become so simple to where when you want to stop being friends with someone all you have to do is "Unfriend" and "Block" them. Facebook has been a remarkable outlet in this election. It's interesting to sit back and see what people you are "friends" with have to say about everything.

Election time brings out everyone's political A-Game. Everyone is an expert. If someone disagrees with you then they have no value to you.

Let's stop all this back and forth and realize that all you can do now regardless of how you feel about Donald Trump is to pray for our president. Do not burn friendships over politics. Respect is what carries value in politics & friendships. So regardless of your own view, show respect for your peers, co-workers and fellow Americans. Don't write someone off because they voted for another person. We are all Americans who had the right to vote with the information we chose to believe and the outcome has official settled into our reality for The White House. You do not have to agree but you can accept it. Your opinion or prior casted vote will not change anything.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
