8 'Friends' Quotes To Describe Midterm Season

In This Article:

It's that time of the year where the school work starts to pack a punch. Midterms, papers, and speeches seem overbearing and never-ending. Procrastination is at its all-time high, and it's only the second month of school. You've been studying for hours, the past few days so you could definitely use a little pick me up. I looked to my all-time favorite TV show, Friends, to cheer me up and describe my thoughts about midterm season in a way that could make me laugh. The best group of TV friends is here to help you get through the monotonous midterm season.

1. When your roommate asks you if you have thought about when you need to start studying and how you should study for your upcoming exam and all you can think of is nothing.

It's time to sit down and make your study schedule so you can be prepared for your test. Turn your "pla" into a "plan"!

2. When your friend asks you a question about a class, and you know that your help and guidance would make them more confused than make any progress, so instead you can offer what you are good at.

Cheer your friends up with a joke, or something funny because they'll need a little pick me up if they're lost in preparing for their midterms.

3. When you need a little extra motivation to get you through a long day of studying, think of anything you can to keep you pushing forward.

Think of anything to push you through and keep on studying. Whether its the fact that you get a break after this test, or are looking forward to something in the upcoming weekend, or something kinda out there like Joey, use it to motivate you!

4. Because I couldn't study, now you can't either!

When you're tiring to study and be productive, but your friends are doing everything they can to distract you. You'll remember that the next they all have tests and take over their studying time.

5. When you will do anything, anything at all, to not have to study.

It hits that point in your day of studying when procrastination completely takes over. But on the plus side, you can find out some pretty cool things about yourself or life in general when you're trying to distract yourself from studying.

6. When your friends starts talking about something on the test that you don't even remember learning.

Everything is smooth sailing until there is all of this information you need to know for the test that you swear you've never even learned before.

7. When you realize that all the classes you've decided to take this semester all have midterms in the same week.

Why did you do this to yourself? Who let you make this decision? Its too late now, so start studying for those three midterms all at the same time.

8. And finally, when your midterm score gets put in the grade book...

After all the stress that goes into studying and preparing for your midterm, you have to wait for the score to be put in. You're either excited and all the studying paid off or you react the same way as Rachel.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
