My Best Friends Deserve the World

They deserve because they have earned it.

My best friends are some of the biggest blessings in my life. They are beautiful. They are smart. They are funny. And they deserve the world. I truly believe the friends in my life deserve nothing but the best that can be offered to them.

1. They deserve to never be disappointed.

I'm not unrealistic in the real world. I know that they are going to have disappointment in their lives, but I fully believe that they deserve to never be sad about it. They deserve people in their lives who will help them through the disappointment, tell them to stand back up, and try again.

2. They deserve to be loved.

These women deserve to be loved, and be loved wholeheartedly. They deserve someone who will treat them with the respect they are worthy of. They deserve someone who will hold them when they cry, and give them a reason to smile. They deserve a text back, they deserve a phone call, they deserve your trust.

3. They deserve to be treated with the utmost respect.

No explanation needed. Treat them like you would want someone to treat your mother, grandmother, sister, or niece. If you don't show them respect, don't expect them to stick around.

4. They deserve to laugh.

I'm not talking little giggles, I'm talking full on belly laugh. They deserve to laugh daily. When you're laughing, you're happy. They deserve to be happy every single day of their lives. I have witnessed the belly laughs with them, and let me tell you they can cure a crappy day in minutes.

5. They deserve to be encouraged.

They can do anything they set their minds to. They deserve someone who will push them to be the best they can be. They deserve someone who will make them want to be better than they were the day before. They deserve daily encouragement so they can be who they are destined to be.

6. They deserve to be prayed for.

They deserve your daily prayer. They deserve to know that they are being prayed for, because it shows someone cares for them. Love them enough to pray for them.

7. They deserve to know it's okay to make mistakes.

Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone needs to be told the mistake is okay. They will make mistakes, but they deserve someone who will hold them as they cry and tell them that it will be okay. They deserve to know that even though they made a mistake, they are still loved.

8. They deserve a strong support system.

It's the time in our life when we will be making big changes. They deserve people who will support them in any choice they make. They deserve people who will watch them spread their wings and fly, but will always be there to catch them if they fall.

9. They deserve to never hurt alone.

My friends have hurt in their lives, and I never want to see them like that again. I know that life will throw curveballs, but I also know that if you wrap someone in love and support they will know they aren't alone. I want to take all the pain and suffering away that they will have in their lives, but I can't do that. But, they do deserve to have someone in their life that will hold them when they hurt.

10. They deserve every opportunity they will ever get.

They are hard workers, they are motivated, and they are simply amazing. They all deserve every opportunity that is offered to them. They do not deserve for that opportunity to be taken away by a negative person. They deserve it because they earned it.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.
