To all the friends in my life who I have had life conversations with— thank you.
Thank you for revealing the hardest parts of your life with me. Thank you for sharing your struggles. Thank you for listening to my struggles and letting me share the hard parts of my life with you.
Thank you for just rolling with it when we go from joking one minute to crying the next. Thank you for realizing that it is not a specific setting that drives a conversation, but rather the person. Some of the deepest conversations happen in car rides, dorm rooms, the library, or even sitting on porches.
Thank you for helping me analyze my life and then listening as I analyze yours. Thank you for listening to my frustrations and my deepest questions about the way life works.
Thank you for pushing me to be better even when you don't realize it. Thanks for the times that something should've taken twenty minutes but instead turned into a four hour ordeal because we had life things to talk about. Thanks for refusing to let me leave until we finished sorting out problems, and for staying when I refused to let you leave.
Thank you for knowing how to keep a secret. Thanks for noticing when the big things happen in my life and for being just as excited as I am. Thank you for always being there, even if you cannot always physically be there.
Our conversations are what keep me sane sometimes, so thank you for being the type of friend that I can have those life conversations with. But really most of all— just thank you for being you.
