If Friends Characters Went To Hogwarts
Today Show

Most of us have probably wondered what all of our favorite television characters would be like in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. Some of us have probably even sorted our favorite characters into their Hogwarts houses. Here’s where the characters from my favorite TV show, Friends, would probably end up.

1. Monica Geller - Slytherin

Fiercely competitive and ambitious, Monica is definitely a Slytherin. She would do anything it takes to win, even if that involves cheating. She’s a natural leader and has to be in charge, making her the perfect candidate for Slytherin.

2. Joey Tribbiani - Hufflepuff

Joey is practically the definition of a Hufflepuff. He is extremely loyal to Chandler, to Phoebe, and to the rest of the Friends, and, like a true Hufflepuff, he is very persistent. He never gives up on his acting career, despite having many pitfalls. Joey wants nothing more than to be happy and to make others happy, so he would make the perfect member of the Hufflepuff house.

3. Phoebe Buffay - Ravenclaw

Phoebe doesn’t seem like much of a Ravenclaw, but like Luna Lovegood and many other Ravenclaws, she’s very quirky. Since she lived on the streets as a child, she has the knowledge and wisdom of someone much older, and she is constantly doling out this wisdom to her friends. Phoebe isn’t a typical Ravenclaw, but she would have no problem answering riddles to get into the common room.

4. Rachel Green - Hufflepuff

Rachel is a Hufflepuff because she is a very hard worker. She could have gotten married young and never had to work, but she chose to leave all that behind and start a new life. It was an uphill battle to get to where she ended up, but her dedication and her hard work made it happen. Rachel is also very loyal, and would’ve done anything for her friends. These qualities make her the perfect Hufflepuff.

5. Ross Geller - Ravenclaw

Ross is an obvious choice for Ravenclaw just for his brain alone. Ross has a PhD, and he has worked at a museum and as a college professor, so education and knowledge are very important to him. This makes him the perfect Ravenclaw.

6. Chandler Bing - Gryffindor

While Chandler doesn’t seem like much of a Gryffindor, he’s actually the bravest of the group. Between his parents’ divorce, his romantic struggles, and having Muriel as his middle name, Chandler has had to put up with a lot. Somehow, he managed to overcome all of these hardships, and for that reason alone, he deserves to be a Gryffindor.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

winter

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
