Mondays, As Told By FRIENDS

Aren't Mondays just kick-you-in-the-crotch, spit-on-your-neck fantastic?

The hardest part about Mondays is... well, all of it. There's nothing good about a Monday. It's the beginning of the work week and the official end of the weekend. Even the thought of Monday can often ruin your Sunday. You just know that it is going to be a slow five days until you get a taste of that sweet, sweet freedom you deserve. Unfortunately Mondays are inevitable, and no matter what you do there's nothing to make them any better. Everyone always seems to wake up on the wrong side of the bed on Monday mornings, and there's never enough coffee to give you the energy that you truly need to make it through the day. Luckily, you're not alone.

Essentially everyone hates Mondays, even Rachel, Joey, Ross, Chandler, Phoebe, and Monica.

1. How you feel when your alarm is going off.

2. Gazing at your morning coffee wondering what you would do without it in your life.

3. When you finish your coffee but quickly realize that you need more.

4. Sitting at work like...

5. How you respond when anyone tries to talk to you before you've had your second cup of coffee.

6. Then you are on your lunch break and someone asks if they could try a bite of your lunch.

7. Watching the clock as you wait for your day to finally be over so you can go home.

8. You are minutes from walking out the door but people keep talking to you preventing your shift from ending so you can't help but respond like...

9. Your shift finally ends and it has you feeling some sort of way because your day is officially over and you are FREE!

10. ...But then you get stuck in traffic on the way home.

11. Finally you make it home to your friends and family who just tell it as it is.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.

Amidst my hectic college career, I always find time for one thing, even on the busiest weeks: Parks and Recreation. This show has made me laugh and has made me cry, but most of all I have related to this show more than I would like to admit.
