5 Different Types of Friends You For Sure, 100 Percent, Have In Your Squad

Ever needed a friend for a certain situation? Have you been considered the "mom" or "adventurous" friend? Need some clarification on what those types of friends are? Well, I'm going to provide 5 types of friends you probably have had in your life.

1. The childhood friend.

Do you remember that friend you met when you were a young kid? You may have meet them at the park, elementary school, or neighborhood. The point is the moment you guys met, you got along well with each other and the rest was history. You guys grew up together where you would go to each other's houses and met the family. They accepted you as their own child and took care of you each step of the way. Essentially, their house was your house. You celebrated birthdays together and went through the awkward moments of puberty together. From your first crushes, fights, and adventures you have made it through it all. Now that you are adults and may have separate lives, distance doesn't matter. You guys are able to reconnect and act like good old pals since day 1.

2. The school friend.

Ever had that friend growing up, where you didn't talk about any personal business, but JUST SCHOOL?! Well, this is your school friend. You probably had the same teachers with almost the same exact class schedule. You would vent to them about how you worried you are about exams and projects. You did study groups with each other and tried the best of your abilities to pass that class and get the grade you want. Additionally, if you have the same goals or career pathway, you vent to them about graduate school, medical school, law school, dental school, etc. These friends are also real-life savers where they helped you with your homework and helped you passed your test you were stressing about. In this type of friendship, you struggle together academically and try to succeed to the top.

3. The mom friend.

Ever felt like crap and things aren't going well in your personal life? You have suffered a break-up, family drama, or lacking motivation? Well, there is always that one friend who has the heart and personality of a loving mother. You call them crying on the phone or go to them personally for all of the problems or insecurities you may have. They are with you each step of the way and are soothing, calm, a great listener, and non-judgemental. They give that warmth whether it be their hugs, words of wisdom, or making your favorite meal, THEY GOT YOU! They are like your therapist and you feel comfortable sharing what you have been keeping bottled up inside. Additionally, if you had one of those wild nights where you got completely trashed, they are to make sure you don't do any bad decisions.

4. The wild friend.

Ever made a decision that you know you weren't supposed to do because it's not smart yet you do it anyway?! Ever called a friend saying to do something crazy or out of your element? You want to live that crazy daredevil life but need that support from a friend to push you out of your comfort zone? Well, there's always that friend down to do road trips, go to the club with you, skinny dip, etc. We all have that crazy friend that we love and likes to live life to the fullest.

5. The stay at home friend.

Want to avoid the social world in the outdoors? Would you much rather go over to your friend's house and sleep all day taking naps? Do you prefer to order takeout or cook together while watching one of your favorite all-time movies together? You would be wearing matching PJ's or in comfortable clothing, chilling in the indoors. Being introverted enjoying each other's company.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
