Your Squad: As Told By Spongebob
Awesome Ocean

Admit it. You are guilty of saying, "Oh boy! 3:00 am!", "Chocolate" in the most raspy voice possible, or singing the "F.U.N" song with your friends. The classic Nickelodeon cartoon, "Spongebob Squarepants," remains a staple in our generation's culture and is sure not be going anywhere anytime soon. Every squad has their own versions of Squidward, Patrick, and everyone in-between. So buckle up into your boat mobiles and let's go for a ride to see the typical faces of every friendship squad.

1. Spongebob, the Goofball:

Just like Spongebob, this person is always saying or doing ridiculous things. Whether that be flapping their arms like a bird spontaneously or going on a crazy tangent, you know that this person is just like Spongebob singing, dancing, and making everyone laugh. Despite being a goofball, this person is always caring for those closest to them extending them kindness and a helping hand. They never fail to make their friends smile with their genuine selves.

2. Patrick, the Oblivious One

We all have that one friend who is completely unaware of what is going on. Usually they're engrossed in something else, not paying attention at all. Of course, nobody can help not to laugh at their blank stares or their sudden statement of, "Wait, what?". For Patrick, this is usually a Krabby Patty, Pizza Castle, or any food he can find. Perhaps even for your oblivious friend, it's also food . . . or it's possibly something else. If it's food, they know all the hottest spots around for the best possible meal. Honestly, what fun would there be without this person?

3. Squidward, the Cranky One:

Yup, this is the person who is serious about everything and anything even if they are in a fun setting. At times, they gloat their "maturity" opposing goof behavior. At their crankiest, they can be a "kill-joy." Yet, they know how to have fun in their own sophisticated way and provide intelligent insight to discussion. The best is when they loosen up and have a good time.

4. Sandy, the Athletic One:

Despite not wanting to challenge this friend to an arm wrestling match or even a cliche pillow fight, you know who to call when you need your jars opened. Those like Sandy have dedication to physical fitness and their sport. Whether its karate or football, they're devoted and they'll make sure you tag along too. Tough, strong, sporty, and everything in-between makes up this friend. Just don't mess with them.

5. Mr. Krabs, the Entrepeneur:

This person is the innovator, the creator, and the one with the highest aspirations. They're not necessarily greedy, per say, but they are always looking for new methods to resolve problems through their own ingenious ways. For some, they may have the extrinsic motivator to earn money and attract others, while some have the intrinsic motivator to just achieve their goals just because. They know what they want and they always know how to get what they want.

6. Plankton, the Ex-Friend:

There's always one — that one person who just decided one day to dissociate from the others but they still try to act like they love everyone in their old group. In some cases, they are even kicked out. They leave and go elsewhere; yet, they still look to sabotage their former squad in anyway possible. Whether that be through spreading gossip or trying to create imaginary problems, this individual only strives to do harm.

7. Karen, the Computer Wife Robot:

The joke usually is this friend is the one with no feelings or the robot. Of course they have feelings but rarely do they ever show them. They are usually the one's who tell it like it is. They are logical in their decision making and advice. They always avoid putting feelings into any discussion. It would not be surprising if they were good and math and science spitting out equations and logic like: "Seaweed: 50% Sea, 50% Weed".

8. Gary, the Quiet One:

Just like Gary, this friend is always quiet. Yet they are always observant and wise when they do end up speaking. They may come off slow and lazy like a snail, but they are always aware of what's going on. When they do speak, they offer sarcasm or unique insight beneficial to any member of the group or the group as a collective.

9. Mr. Leg Guy the Klutz:

No matter where you are with this friend they always manage to somehow get hurt. Whether it be a sudden movement from behind or the ground they walk upon, they are bound to fall to the ground. And of course, you cannot help but laugh at their clumsiness even if it causes them a little pain.

10. Kevin C. Cucumber, the Popular One:

There's always that one person in the group who knows just about everyone. This is the person who when you go out in public you tally every single time someone says hi to them. They literally know everyone and are a member of multiple squads. However, they are most loyal towards yours despite this. They have ins at major social events and know their way in and out of various people. They're your most social friend.

11. Pearl the Stylish One:

The Pearl of your friend group is the fashionista, stylish one. They always style together the best outfits and have a passion for doing so. They know how to dress for success while also helping out their fellow friends. Pearls also know how to have fun whether it be at a dance or lunch they show up ready to laugh and in good style.

12. Squilliam the Older One:

There is always that one friend who is either age wise older or who tends to think and act like they are. Like Squilliam, they tend to act condescending towards the others belittling their fun, yet they still stick around because they deep down enjoy it. Usually they try to show off their "sophisticated" fun to the others in the group but it's not always accepted. They tend to prefer fine dining and breathing, but don't be surprised to see them have a good time at a concert that breaks through their arrogant shell.

13. Mrs. Puff, the Worried One:

Paranoid, afraid, worry-wart, however you may describe it there is always that one friend who acts like Mrs. Puff. They usually question the will of the group fearing the worst case scenario if they leave someone's house or simply do anything. Most of the time they are busy worrying about what could happen rather than living in the moment. They would much rather hang out at home then go out in public as doing so prevents every horrible thing possible from happening.. They are kind and caring but they always fear the worst

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:
