CONGRATULATIONS!

High School is in the past and you've been accepted into what is hopefully the college or university of your dreams.

College is not as hard as you might think it is, nor is it easy. As long as you are managing your time wisely, you have nothing to worry about. Procrastination can be your worst enemy if you choose put aside your schoolwork until the last minute all because you wanted to have time for leisurely activities. College is a place where students, just like you, are placed into a new environment where they not only learn to respect each other but to learn to get along with each other for the sake of a shared goal. If you have a relaxed and stable working environment, it makes it possible for you to learn. College is also about meeting new people; making lifelong friends, connections, and memorize. Speaking from personal experience, I was really nervous to come to college. I had to get used to waking up without my morning hugs from my mother or walking out in my front yard. Make sure you are meeting plenty of new people and making close bonds with others. I was always great at making new friends; however, it was still pretty difficult to be separated from my friends back at home. We still keep in touch by occasionally visiting each other's college campuses. Make sure you get involved with different campus events. Also, it never hurts to get involved with non-college campus events as well. Challenging yourself in college is a good thing. Now that you are in college, you will most likely now be getting a roommate. Your roommate could either be a total an utter enemy or one of the coolest people you will ever meet and anything between. But don't worry, you can request a room change. I am sure you have heard of "The Freshmen 15." The term "Freshmen 15" is an expression commonly used that refers to an amount of weight gained during an average student's first year at college. You may or may not have to worry about gaining weight over the course of your freshmen year. If you are one who gains weight during your first year of college, it will mostly be caused by a poor choice of the foods you eat. I completely understand. When given the opportunity to have dessert for breakfast rather than bacon and eggs, you ultimately choose dessert over bacon and eggs because it is the most desirable choice. Overall, while you are in college, it is important for you to make smart decisions, to have a good judge of character, and to learn from your own mistakes.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
