That first year of college is definitely an exciting one. You just graduated and have a shiny new diploma and college acceptance to prove it. You have an entirely new place to explore and lots of new people. Freshman year is definitely an interesting time. What happens from start to finish is definitely an unforgettable adventure. Here is freshman year as told by SpongeBob.

1. Move in!

College has got nothing on you. You just got there, but you feel like you're ready to destroy whatever college has to throw at you.

2. What you think college is about during Drop/Add week

Classes are not too bad. The teachers seem alright. You seem to cruise through your first week.

3. You realize there are actually a lot more steps.

Maybe college is a little tougher than you thought it would be. You realize that there are way more steps to acing college and that Drop/Add week definitely did not represent actual college.

4. First time back home.

You missed your parents and are definitely happy to be back home.

5. Going back to school.

College doesn't seem daunting anymore now that you're back into the flow of things. You feel like you know the basic ins and outs of things now and campus is finally starting to make sense to you. You're even giving directions now!

6. Finals week rolls around.

Tests suck. Especially when you have more than one back to back. You got through it but just barely. You definitely need a break and are ready for winter break.

7. Winter Break!!!

You were very ready for this much needed break and are happy to be done with all of your exams. New semester coming up means new classes to try out! You are definitely excited at the prospect of new courses.

8. New Semester. New You.

This time, you have a semester under your belt and you definitely think that you can ace this new semester. College is going to be a lot more fun this time around.

9. You use all of your resources to pass your classes.

If last semester taught you anything, then it is to use all of your resources to help you in passing your classes.

10. Finals are back again.

Last semester's finals were alright, but you really don't want to go through another session of back to back tests. Even the slightest mention of finals has you going haywire.

11. Even essays have you stumped.

Even though you have lots of tests, some of your teachers throw some term papers at you. These papers are just so hard to write because you are so tired of all of the work you have. But everything eventually gets finished and you are definitely happy to be done.

Freshman year was certainly a great year. So many new experiences and lots of new friends came from it. You now are entering the summer and all of the knowledge you gained this past year will definitely help you ace sophomore year and beyond.

Creating your schedule for the upcoming semester can be an exciting process. You have the control to decide if you want to have class two-days a week or five-days a week. You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:
