Your freshman year of college can be extremely stressful, so what better way to describe these stressful situations than with GIFs of Josh Peck?

1. When you arrive at school: Your parents just said their goodbyes, you close your dorm door for the first time, and you are completely alone (besides the roommate you barely know). Sometimes the only reaction that seems necessary in this situation is to scream and run away from the anxiety you are suddenly experiencing. Do you really have to be an adult now?

2. Eating in the cafeteria: It's the first week of school and you only know a few people, but they are all in class during your lunch break. So what do you do? You can just sulk in your room and eat microwaved macaroni and cheese, or you can go to the cafeteria and eat whatever seems the most edible. Maybe if you look pathetic enough, someone will sit next to you and become your friend? Since that seems like a more desperate option, you decide to just smile through the awkwardness and pretend you are perfectly fine with sitting alone.

3. Frat Parties: Most likely, everyone experiences a frat party in their college years. While most girls look super confident in their pictures on Instagram, with their well thought-out outfits, they are probably nervous just like you when they enter the doors of a fraternity function. You will either be the life of the party, or stand awkwardly in the corner, waiting for someone to talk to you. Of course, there is always the anxiety of whether or not the cute boy in your math class likes you, but don't overthink anything. The best you can do is try to have fun, don't worry too much about boys, and look out for your roommate.

4. Class presentations: Whether it is the first day of school and you have to introduce yourself to the class, or it is a speech you have to give in front of your public speaking class, you will eventually have to speak in front of everyone. Don't worry, though, you probably won't do anything that embarrassing. (Or maybe you will. Who really knows?)

5. That one professor you can't stand: Your professors are understanding, helpful, and extremely nice. They all understand that you are new to this whole "college thing" and you might need some extra help and guidance. However, everyone has that one professor that seems to have a death wish for you. Why would anyone schedule a test for the day after Spring Break? This professor must be completely heartless. And although you want to confront them on their unjust teaching methods, you know you should just pull through and go to as many help sessions as possible.

6. That one test you forgot to study for: Hopefully not many people have this problem, but there is always that one person in your class that does not know there is an exam until it is being handed out by your professor. Of course, they are probably contemplating whether or not they should run away and never look back, but instead they just sit at their desk with an uneasy look on their face.

7. Finals week: Finals week was basically created for every college students' misery. Why does every exam have to be over one-hundred questions and consist of five essays? You will stay up late every night cramming in the library, but no amount of studying will seem like enough. Is it socially acceptable for someone your age to just cry around opened textbooks and empty coffee cups? Probably not, but you are going to do it anyway.

8. When you meet new people and realize that they are way cooler than you: Of course everyone has their own talents, passions, and personalities, but there are always those people who are way cooler than you will ever be. In high school, everyone probably knew who you were and you had a name for yourself. In college, you have to start all over with people who do not know you at all. Although this can be stressful, don't worry too much. However, you will never be as cool as the baton twirler who also speaks three different languages sitting next to you in English class.

9. Getting stuck in awkward situations: Freshman year is all about trial and error. You learn from your mistakes, meet new people, and experience new things. There is always that one (or more than one) social situation that you just kind of get stuck in. No, you did not want to go to that party at midnight at the kid in Biology class's apartment. However, you find yourself riding in the backseat of a car with three other people you barely even know yet. You pretend you are having fun, but all you really want to do is just go back to your dorm and catch up on the show you have been binge-watching on Netflix.

10. Meeting your best friend: College has its ups and downs, but that all becomes worth it when you find that one person (or people) who make college life seem a little less stressful. College can make you feel a whirlwind of emotions, but in the end, these years are really the best years of your life.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.
