Freshman Year Of College As Told By New Girl

The first semester of college as a freshman is full of new experiences, new people and an entirely new lifestyle. It certainly takes some getting used to but after time, it all becomes normal. There are many things most college freshman can agree on.

1. Preparing yourself for the first day of classes.

2. Walking into the communal bathrooms for the first time.

3. When you get last pick for spring semester classes.

4. Your first meal back at home away from the dining hall.

5. Trying to impress your teacher at their first office hours.

6. When it finally hits you that you're never going back to high school.

7. When your mom and dad send you pictures of your dog.

8. When your first ever college finals week is over.

9. When you try to stay positive in the freshman dorms with no air conditioning.

10. Taking your picture for your school ID that will be on your card for all four years.

11. Partying with your home friends again on the first break.

12. When you don't get any dominoes after a night out.

13. Trying not to gain the freshman 15.

14. Doing laundry for the first time without your mom.

15. When the homesickness hits you.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
