College.
It can be and will be a stressful time where you'll have to make a lot of decisions that will affect the rest of your life.
It's most likely your first time away from home; you'll be adjusting to new rules and expectations, and making new friends. Things you think you'll never change your view on will change, along with what you want to do with your life.
You may go to college and declare a major right away, either with your dream job in your head or your parents' goals for you pushing you in that direction. If you remain pleased with your decision, then great!
If not, even better.
Not knowing what exactly you want is a great thing, because you'll have so many opportunities in college to help you decide. Coming into your first year without any intended major is such a great thing because there are no pressures to fit into a certain schedule or identity so early on.
The unknown is a beautiful thing, and your freshman year especially will give you more ideas than you'd ever imagine.
You may have always wanted to be a doctor, but then you fall in love with your musical theater class.
You may want to be an author, but you find out in your composition class that you don't actually enjoy writing that much.
The best part about furthering your education by attending college is giving yourself the time to really narrow down your interests in passions. Finding your passion is something that needs to be emphasized so much more than it usually is.
We are told to follow our dreams but then are shut down if it sounds impractical. Sometimes, life is too short to be practical.
Find what you love, and do what you love. Whatever it is that you want to do, keep an open mind, because what you discover in your college years may exceed all of your dreams you have now.
