If you read my very first Odyssey article, you know how much I relate to Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas. W I especially loved ABC Family's extended edition of the movie that they aired multiple times throughout their trademark 25 Days of Christmas. ABC Family has since been renamed Freeform and still has this same event throughout the month of December, but with one twist. They removed my most beloved Christmas movie from the line-up.

How? Why? Do they hate all that is good in the world?

I wouldn't be nearly as mad about this whole situation if it weren't for the fact that there are two days set aside for Toy Story and Frozen. Neither of these are Christmas movies and could be played pretty much any time the rest of the year. Frozen could have its prime time on the station during January and February, or even after Christmas has passed in December. Toy Story could be played any time Freeform has their new tradition, "Fun Day," on Sundays the rest of the year.

I have decided to protest Freeform during December, especially during those showings, and watch my favorite movie on DVD or Blu-Ray. In fact, I've already watched it once. I'm sure I'm going to view it plenty more times before the 25th, and now I get to without those annoying commercials.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
