Speak as though you knew,
Speak as though you understand the things your words do,
Free Speech is a luxury, no one says it but everyone knows
While one man's words are venerated, another man's are met with minds closed
Like day and night and all of those.
They say you give what you get,
And maybe that's why you're so hateful
But to defy the purpose of the constitution that freed your ancestors
is innately ungrateful.
Free Speech,
Free Religion,
Free Assembly and Petition
Unalienable,
Irreversible,
These rights are not for your decision,
And you hurt the nation that birthed you while sitting blissful in your ignorance
Your libel intends to alienate the aliens,
but your "bad hombres" don't play victim to your hate-speeches
You disgrace your motherland,
The "Black/African American," the "Hispanic/Latino," the "other" man
Fill another registration form, check the box off, and
The nasty women, pigs, and slobs, who met trauma at your hand
All fear you like a ghost of their freedom standing
Behind a podium, slandering, lying, showing us
What is wrong with this country and all of us
Send a prayer to whatever God or Gods is or are known to us.
US
U.S.
The United States,
You and I
The Free and the Brave
Protected by the promises your predecessors kept
While we all must confess it seems over time we have regressed
To have the State of our Union in such a mess
It's a crying shame,
Not a growing pain,
Not to be endured until it dies away
Not to be justified
And all our sons and daughters here can testify
That we will speak our minds, freely and with pride
That we won't be silenced,
That we will continue to rise,
With our intellect, our common sense,
Our raw power and our united strength
We won't tolerate the nonsense,
The only thing we stand by
Is the premise that the next 4 years will roll by
Slowly but surely we will realign, realize, and to surmise
that America and her values, under extreme duress, won't die.
We Speak.
The mothers, wives, daughters you call Nasty, Pigs and Slobs
We Speak.
The fathers, sons, husbands you call murderers and rapists
We Speak.
The friends, coworkers, neighbors you call criminals and thugs
We Speak.
For ourselves and for them and for each other
We Speak.
And if you won't listen from Capitol Hill,
We will continue to Speak until someone will.
