Be Free. Be Yourself. And Don't Give A Rat About What Other People Think

I've come to meet some of the most amazing people- I realized the most inspiring and the people I am drawn to the most are the one's who are 100 percent themselves

There is something really amazing and beautiful about encountering people who are comfortable and content in who they are. Who truly look forward to the ups and downs in life and the adventure that it holds. I've come to meet some of the most amazing people- I realized the most inspiring and the people I am drawn to the most are the one's who are 100 percent themselves, not fitting into any mold or pattern. But confident and unashamed of who they are, and who God is calling them to be. There is no need for comparison, self - doubt, anxiety or worry because they know that the things that make them different or who they are, it's exactly how God wants them to be! He has a purpose and plan for all of us - and God being God, knows what type of personality traits and skills we are going to need to live the life He has called us to do. When you think about it, and fully grasp this thought, it can feel like a weight being lifted off your shoulders. All we have to do is just be who God has called us to be and out of that place we can champion and love others just like He loves us!

This was something that I had struggled with for a very long time. Years to be exact. Comparing myself to others, trying to find acceptance, and trying to be someone I'm not, when I should of just accepted the way that I am a long time ago! It's okay to be different. It's okay to be me! It is very tiring trying to be someone I'm not. It is very tiring trying to be the best I can be when I will never reach perfection. It is very tiring to constantly try to be the best version of myself, when I am only human, and with that comes flaws and imperfection. We will never be satisfied with who we are if our identity is found in this world and not in Jesus.

Being free is actually really really beautiful. It is the best feeling, and the least amount of work. It is absolutely wonderful, and I hope everyone can feel this way! I hope everyone is able to be free in the identity God has made them to be. Being YOURSELF and being weird is WAY better than fitting into the normality of this world.

It's a work in progress, and we are all getting there and becoming more free each and every day, especially if we are looking to Jesus for acceptance, and not searching for the approval from our peers.

Joshua 1:9
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

Jesus is always with us guys. He was with you yesterday, He is with you today, and He most certainly is with you tomorrow. When you live life with HIM, and live to bring GLORY to HIM, your true identity WILL come out. HE accepts us each and every day. He is with us through the hard times, the good, and the bad. HE is always there. I hope this encourages you all, and brings revelation to your own life!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
