I probably love reading more than your average person. Ever since I was a kid, getting lost in the pages of a good story has been one of my favorite pastimes. Yet, I can't deny that reading physical books can be inconvenient. Hardcovers are heavy, paperbacks tear or get waterlogged, every format is pricey unless you shop used.

Don't get me wrong- I love toting around a heavy book with a beautiful cover whenever I get the chance. But for the times when I'm trying to save money and space, e-books have been a lifesaver. The best part: sometimes they don't cost a thing! Here are 3 resources for finding free e-books.

Project Gutenberg is an online library of over 60,000 e-books. You'll find great literature in Kindle and ePub formats, with a focus on older works on which U.S. copyright has expired.
