As you fall from the the sky,
gently touching my skin.
You are ice on my flesh.
You send shivers down my spine.
You shine bright,
like a new penny.
You are hard to look at.
So sad you are ruined by nature,
dirt, soil, and feet that left markings.
You gave me a day to myself,
to do with it what I may.
I heard the pitter patter late at night,
while I sat in bed near my window.
I turned to stare out the window,
to see the grass painted white.
